Ron Paul Rally Rocks Minneapolis!

The surge of energy, patriotism, and solidarity at the Target Center last night was something I personally have never seen in 31 years on this planet. Sure, there have been larger gatherings, and perhaps even higher decibel levels (perhaps), but never the combination of numbers, noise, and a genuine message - free of corporate sponsorship - all at the same time.

The Rally for the Republic was an enormous success, and featured not only a speech for the ages by Congressman Paul, but some really dazzling words and performances - including a few huge surprises. C-SPAN 2 - aside from cutting away during the Aimee Allen performance for some ridiculous RNC coverage - did a great job covering the entire day and night.

Dr. Paul himself had the crowd of some 10,000-15,000 supporters in an hour-long frenzy. He gave a fiery sermon about liberties, freedom, the ill-advised direction the Neo-Cons have steered us in, and he even had some scathing remarks about the War on Drugs. I have never seen such admiration, adoration, and excitement from so many people about a candidate the media didn't tell them to support. It was real, and it was exhilarating to watch.

There were a number of memorable quotes from Dr. Paul, but rather than blandly run them down here, I suggest going over to the C-SPAN website where you can watch the speech in its entirety.

There were a number of memorable appearances that truly came out of nowhere. First off, I though MSNBC's Tucker Carlson did a great job mc'ing. I've always thought of him - especially during his CNN Crossfire days - as a little Neo-Con minion. I must say, however, he seemed genuine enough about his admiration towards Dr. Paul, as well as his support of Libertarian ideals.

Barry Goldwater, Jr. introduced the Congressman, and really got the crowed fired up. I honestly must say I didn't expect all that much from him, especially after Alex Jones had expressed a rather 'so what' attitude toward Goldwater's attendance.

The biggest and brightest surprise to me though was the speech given by U.S. Olympic Gold Medal swimmer Erik Vendt. He really got the crowd going, describing how during his China trip he thought how he's glad he didn't live in a country where they listen to phone calls, read emails, and have cabs bugged.

"Then I realized," he said, "they (the U.S. Government) read my emails and listen to my phone calls.

"We're just one terror attack away from Martial Law."

What was not a surprise was Jesse Ventura's dead-on speech attacking the Bush Administration, the corporate run media, and the general direction of the country. He also came through big time with a little 9/11 Truth action.

"I'm going to move on to another subject that a lot of people don't want to discuss today," Ventura said. "And that's something called 9/11."

Ventura later went on to say, "When the FBI was pressed as to why 9/11 wasn't included [in Osama bin-Laden's rap sheet], their response was 'we don't have enough evidence'."

"Why do we have a President who stonewalled any investigation into 9/11 for two years?"

Good old Governor Ventura. Telling it like it is. What was really encouraging however, was that he sounded a lot more energized and upbeat than he did a few weeks ago on the Alex Jones Show when he sounded pretty resigned as to the fate of the U.S.

After last week's nauseating dog and pony show at the DNC, and the basically non-existent Neo-Con parade full of unpopular discredited fools in St. Paul at the RNC, last night's Rally was really the potent shot in the arm of patriotism that the people needed. It showed yet again that there really is an interest in freedom and in our Constitution, and that there are powerful, courageous people still out there willing to lead the Revolution.

A REAL Convention Starts Sunday

The country has endured the covert fascism of last week's DNC, and the upcoming week will be chock full of Neo-Con war worshiping in St. Paul, MN for the RNC. However, across the river in Minneapolis will be some actual truth and patriotism at Ron Paul's Rally for the Republic.

Congressman Paul, Governor Jesse Ventura, Aimee Allen, and a host of others will be on hand to promote true liberty and freedom, and slap the RNC and the establishment right across its ugly face. More to come in the days ahead, but here's a message from Ron Paul.

Dear friends,

Tuesday's Rally for the Republic is just days away! This is the biggest event I have ever put on in my political career, and I hope to see you there by my side.A few things to announce:

1) Today, 638 various premium seats will be released at Ticketmaster.com in sections 130, 131, 113, 112, and 111 at 10:00 a.m. Central Time. Here's an opportunity to get some excellent seats. Any leftover premium seats will be offered at the Ron Paul Nation Celebration on Monday night.

2) At 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning, the day of the Rally, 400 wristbands will be handed out at the Target Center on a first-come, first-served basis. These wristbands will provide ticket holders access to the standing-room-only space on the floor. As you can see on the seating chart below, this is the closest you can get to the stage. These wristbands will go fast, so be sure you're in line early Tuesday morning!

3) Volunteers will be a big part of making these next few days a success. All volunteers will be offered a free premium ticket to the Rally in exchange for your efforts. Please sign up here If you're a student, please fill out the form at our Facebook page. Can we make a big push as we head into our great week?

The situation our country faces is as dangerous as ever. A certain Democratic senator, recently passed over for the Republican vice-presidential nod, is likely to be our next secretary of state. Both major parties remain committed to militarism and reckless spending - and inflationism to fund it all.

At their convention the Democrats uttered barely a peep about the surveillance state, the police state, and the Bush administration's disastrous foreign policy. Needless to say, there was not a word about the Fed and what it's done to our economy. We can only imagine what the GOP Convention will have in store for us.

The Rally for the Republic is the first step in alerting our countrymen to these dangers, and holding out the message of freedom as the only remedy. We must resist the false choices the two major parties are giving us. Help me spread our great ideas far and wide. Join me in Minneapolis, and let's shake the rafters.

In liberty,

Ron Paul

Further Evidence Barack is the Chosen One

As if it weren't already blatantly evident that Barack Obama is the heir to the throne, the RNC announced some bizarre and certainly non-constructive highlights to the Sept. 1 - 4 convention.

President Bush will speak on the opening night of the convention, and even more ludicrous is the fact that the keynote speech of the entire four days will be given by none other than the abject failure candidate, Rudy Giuliani.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/08/20/rnc.lineup/

The spinsters say the logic here is to show "diversity" within the party, and to cover a number of different "stronghold" states between the various players. Still, there's no escaping the pure truth; no one likes Bush or Giuliani - regardless of their diverse views or geographic popularity contrasts.

The President's approval rating has been hovering between 25 and 30 percent for eons now. Giuliani was just a year ago the darling prince of the GOP, and the "front runner." However, when the primaries began and it was time to put up or shut up, he fell faster than a lead balloon. He spent eight-figure money on a very abridged campaign that garnered exactly zero delegates.

Additional trouble seems to be looming in that the ultra-right Christian gang detest Rudy, and John McCain's credibility with that clan is already deeply in question. Not sure how Rudy's presence - keynoting no less - is going to help there. Of course Dubbya is not exactly the glue to hold things together. With a (generous) approval rating of 30 percent in a country with so many radical Christian Neo-Cons, he certainly isn't going to solidify much support either.

Obviously the GOP doesn't have a whole lot to work with, and in the end it really makes no difference whether Obama or McCain wins. It just means we'll know up front rather than down the line that the voters have made a grave mistake. But trotting out fake Liberal, "Independent" Joe Lieberman to champion for McCain, and featuring George and Rudy just smacks too much of a complete and total phoning in of the upcoming election.

Ron Paul Laughs at The RNC and the "Establishment" and Makes Major Announcement

Here is a letter from Congressman Dr. Ron Paul - a TRUE champion of Liberty and the American People.

Tuesday, July 22, 2008

If they expected us to retire quietly from the scene, the political elite are in for a surprise.

Today I am making some very big announcements.

First, from August 31 to September 2 in Minneapolis, we will host a handful of events that will shake the political establishment. Everything will culminate on Tuesday with the official launch of the Campaign for Liberty at the Rally for the Republic.

The Campaign for Liberty will be the largest organization for peace, freedom, the Constitution, and sound money in American history. It will launch in grand fashion with lots of special guests and - if the early television and print inquiries we've received are any indication - plenty of media attention.

I would like to personally invite you and your family to join me and thousands of others in Minneapolis for these events and send a message to the Republican Party.

Tickets will go on sale for the Rally for the Republic this Friday, July 25 @ 10AM CST. We want this to be an unforgettable day, so we are holding a ticket bomb all day Friday in the tradition of our famous money bombs. How many seats can we sell on the first day?

In patriotic fashion all tickets will cost $17.76, so you can afford to bring the whole family.

This leads me to the second big announcement. After measuring the excitement and enthusiasm, we decided that the Williams Arena at the University of Minnesota was just too small to hold you. Therefore, we are making a significant upgrade. The Rally for the Republic will now take place at the Target Center, the largest arena in Minneapolis!

This promises to be the most spirited and provocative political event of the year! We held some very large rallies during the presidential campaign, but I have never attempted anything of this scale before. Its success rests entirely in your hands.

Later this week I will announce two internationally renowned musicians as headliners for the Rally for the Republic. We'll also be joined by rock star Aimee Allen, NBC's Tucker Carlson, Barry Goldwater Jr., Gov. Gary Johnson, conservative stalwart Grover Norquist, former Reagan deputy Attorney General Bruce Fein, presidential historian Doug Wead, MTV's Adam Curry, musician Mark Scibilia, and Frank Sinatra impersonator Rick Ellis. Other special guests will be announced soon.

My staff has been working overtime to provide you with three full days of entertainment. Please visit the schedule page of the website and read all about upcoming events. We also have a lodging page to help you find accommodations in Minneapolis.

Together we are taking back our government and restoring the republic. Please join me in Minneapolis to kickoff the Campaign for Liberty and support our Revolution. Can I count on you to be there?

In Liberty,

Ron Paul

P.S. I know that you have done so much already, but with both major party nominees threatening to lead us into bankruptcy at home and more wars abroad, the success of the Rally for the Republic and the launch of the Campaign for Liberty is crucial. Please do what you can to be in Minneapolis August 31 - September 2 and send a loud and clear message of freedom, peace, and prosperity.
